A 40-year-old pastor, Olakanye Oni, who was accused for killing a 39-year-old woman, remanded in prison by the Ado Ekiti Chief Magistrates' Court today.
The allegedly pastor, Olakanye Oni, pleaded not guilty to a charge of murder. But prosecutor, Insp. Johnson Okunade, told the court that the murder suspect committed the offence on or about December 13, 2017 at Ado Ekiti.
Johnson Okunade says, the offence contravenes Section 325 of the criminal code Cap C16 under the law of Ado Ekiti, 2012
The pastor committed the offence through a wicked means because something usual was discovered in the private part of the murdered woman.
The chief magistrate, Mr Aderopo Adegboye, thereafter ordered that the pastor will be remanded in prison until the next adjourned date of January 15 for mention.
