I Can't Be Stopped From Talking - Aisha Buhari (Audio)

Nigeria's First Lady Aisha Buhari asserted that she can't be stopped from talking while speaking from London on Thursday December 5.

The First Lady who was a guest caller on TVC's Journalists’ Hangout, made a clarification on her comment about the social media bill, insecurity and poverty in the country and lashing out at underserving governors and ministers.

Aisha Buhari stated that she has the constitutional right to freedom of expression when asked if she has been told to stop talking. “Who will stop me? Everybody is talking in the country. Everybody should talk. It is freedom of speech”, she said.

On if she engages in pillow talk on the challenges facing the country with her husband President Buhari, the First Lady hilariously said “There is no pillow in the Villa including the other room”.

The President's wife who stated that she knows that the challenges facing the country comes from a long-term neglect, maintained that she did not specifically blame the governors while speaking at the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs General Assembly and National Executive Council Meeting held at the National Mosque in Abuja on Friday December 29.

“We are all suffering from it. Whether you are an executive  or ordinary citizen. We can’t go to our villages  and sleep with  two eyes closed. It cuts across" she said.

Also commenting on her support for the social media bill, Aisha recalled how the Minister of Communications shared a story of someone calling to confirm if Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo has resigned as claimed on social media. Though the First Lady said everyone in the room laughed over the story, she added that it was a serious issue and she expected action to be taken to curb such fake news.

“There are no consequences for offenders. You say anything you like and get away with it. We cannot have peace in such a society. Once there are no consequences, everybody does whatever he likes. Everything will be in disarray" Aisha added.

She also lashed out at some officials in her husband's administration for taking up issues they are not concerned with. Recounting how the Presidency reacted to report of the PDP threatening to sanction former President Goodluck Jonathan over the party's loss to the APC in Bayelsa Governorship election, Aisha Buhari wondered where the spin doctors were when report of her husband taking up a new wife went viral.

It Hurts Me When Cristiano Ronaldo Won His Fifth Ballon d'Or' - Lionel Messi Reveals

Argentine and Barcelona superstar, Lionel Messi, was crowned the first-ever player to win six Ballon d’Or trophy at a ceremony which took place in Paris on Monday night, revealed that it did hurt him when his arch-rival Cristiano Ronaldo won the 2017 Golden Ball of France, which was the Portuguese’s fifth award.

Appreciating the Juventus star, who was in Milan to collect a Serie A Player of the Year prize on Monday rather being in Paris, Messi said that he can understand what emotions former Real Madrid striker would be going through.

Before the event, Messi and his arch-rival Cristiano Ronaldo who both dominated the Ballon d’Or for a decade between 2008 and 2017, were on five each before the Barcelona superstar broke the tie yesterday.

In a new interview, Messi revealed that he was hurt when Cristiano Ronaldo joined him on five Ballon d’Or triumphs, claiming that the Portuguese will be experiencing similar emotions after he failed to show up at the 2019 Ballon d'Or' ceremony.

“On the one hand, I enjoyed having five and being the only one,” Messi told France Football. 'When Cristiano moved level, I admit that it hurt me a bit. I was no longer alone at the top. But it made sense, although it was good when I was alone at five.
“Was I frustrated in the last few years? Let's say I understood why I did not win. As a team, we had not achieved our major goal, which was to win the Champions League, which gives you more chances to win the Ballon d'Or.
“When Cristiano Ronaldo won it is because he had achieved great seasons by winning the Champions League and being decisive. It was deserved, there was not much I could do.
“Did I feel injustice? It's up to you to tell me if the Ballon d'Or is awarded to the best player or the one who enjoys the best season.
“It is also down to individual taste. Some prefer Cristiano, others myself or Neymar or [Kylian] Mbappe. People have the right to choose the one they like most.”
“Do I understand Ronaldo's frustration? It is something that we live, feel and express according to our own way of being.
“Once again, the collective titles are the most important thing, even if the individual trophies are rewarding. When the Ballon d'Or eludes you, everyone reacts in their own way. But when you are a top athlete, you always want to win.”

Lionel Messi Defeated Ronaldo To Win Sixth Record Ballon d'Or (Photos)

Argentine and Barcelona superstar, Lionel Messi, has claimed a record sixth Ballon d'Or in Paris on Monday.

The Argentine, who attended with his wife Antonella Roccuzzo and his two sons Thiago and Mateo, went into the evening in Paris level with Ronaldo on five Ballon d'Or awards each but now stands alone with six.

Lionel Messi also claimed a tenth La Liga trophy and a Supercopa de Espana but was denied in the final of the Copa del Rey and was on the wrong end of a 4-0 battering at Anfield that saw Liverpool eventually go on to claim the Champions League title.

He did finish as the top scorer in both the Champions League and La Liga and has already picked up another individual prize in the form of FIFA's 'The Best' Men's award.

Lionel Messi's career-long dual with Cristiano Ronaldo took another fascinating turn as the Barcelona star won his sixth Ballon d'Or award.

Ronaldo was left in third place - his lowest ranking since failing to make the podium in 2010. His calendar year remains impressive, but his numbers fall short of the exceedingly high standards the 34-year-old has set over the years.

Liverpool defender Van Dijk finished second, with team-mates Sadio Mane who finished fourth , Mohamed Salah and Alisson coming in at fifth and seventh position, as the Reds lifted the Champions League and came within a point of winning their first Premier League trophy, losing just one league game all season.
