Sad! Bride Died Hours After Wedding

A Connecticut woman married the love of her life from her hospital bed on Dec. 22, two years after she was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Bridesmaid Christina Karas captured the triumph and joy moments after Heather Lindsay, 31, and David Mosher said their “I do’s.”

The image of Lindsay throwing her arms up has since gone viral.
“She’s getting to shout from the rooftops that she loves Dave and is able to say, ‘I’m his wife,’” Karas told TV station WFSB.
“It reminds me of someone who is crossing the finish line of a marathon or something,” Mosher, 35, said of the photo.
Lindsay succumbed to her illness hours after she tied the knot at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, Conn.

The couple met at a dance class in 2015, and within a year Mosher was ready to propose.

He did just that, complete with a horse-drawn carriage, after Lindsay was diagnosed with cancer Dec. 23, 2015.
Over the next year, Karas helped Lindsay plan the wedding of her dreams.
“She was so hopeful,” Karas told NBC. “The way we would talk about it, you always kind of felt this isn’t it.”
They pushed up the wedding originally scheduled for Dec. 30 and intended to just lay the wedding dress across Lindsay, whom they feared was too weak to put it on. But she made it into her gown and to the hospital’s chapel, where she exchanged vows with Mosher.

“That moment right there was like, ‘Death, I’m not afraid of you! I am so in love and I am going to celebrate that love right now,’” Karas recalled.

Lindsay was buried Saturday, the day that was meant to be her wedding day.

7 Easy Ways To Stop Snoring

Snoring is noisy breathing during sleep. Snoring is the vibration of respiratory structures and the resulting sound due to obstructed air movement during breathing while sleeping.

In some cases, the sound may be soft, but in most cases, it can be loud and unpleasant. Snoring during sleep may be a sign, or first alarm, of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA).

Avoid alcohol before going to bed
Avoiding alcohol before going to bed will help you to end snoring. According to doctors and sleep specialists recommend avoiding alcohol for at least a few hours before going to bed, especially if you already suffer from snoring problems.

Poor night's sleep.
This leads to drowsiness during the day and can interfere with your quality of life and increase risk for car accidents.

Lose weight
Fatty tissue and poor muscle tone contribute to snoring. Even if you're not overweight in general, carrying excess weight just around your neck or throat can cause snoring. Exercising and losing weight can sometimes be all it takes to end your snoring.

Change Your Sleep Position.
Lying on your back makes the base of your tongue and soft palate collapse to the back wall of your throat, causing a vibrating sound during sleep. Sleeping on your side may help prevent this.

Get enough sleep
Getting enough sleep helps keep your mind and body healthy. Make sure you get the recommended seven to eight hours of sleep you need each night.

Stop smoking
Smoking is an unhealthy habit that can worsen your snoring. Talk to your doctor about therapies  such as gum or patches that can help you quit.

Practice Good Sleep Hygiene
The secret to get a good night's sleep is maintaining healthy sleep habits.

Best 4 Ways To Track Your Lost Phone

Looking for your mobile phone can be a frustrating experience. Sometimes it’s simply tucked in some place, out of your sight. Yet it is also possible to lose your phone away from home or have it stolen from you. In any case, you can help the situation if you are well prepared for such mishaps beforehand and if you act fast enough. Here are some useful tools  to help you find your lost phone;

Android Device Manager (ADM)
As long as your device is connected to your Google Account, you have internet access, you have location turned on and ADM is set to locate your device before it disappears, then there is still a chance that you can recover it.

ADM  can tell the location of your device by default unless you have disabled this in settings. To locate your lost phone with ADM simply visit android.com/find on your PC, sign into your Google account and select the particular device you are searching for if you have more than one.

Google shows you the approximate location of your device and gives you the option of;
Making it ring even if your device is set to silence
Locking it with a PIN password or pattern even if you didn’t have one set before. You can also add a recovery message on the lock screen. For example, you can write “please call this number if you have my device”

Erasing all the data on your device.
If you do not have access to a PC, you can also download the  “Find My Device”  app from Play store on another phone.  Unfortunately, if your phone is turned off, ADM can only tell you the last place your device was seen. You can also use a similar feature on Apple devices to find your iPhone.

Third party Apps
Other than the built-in Android device Manager, you can also install other third party phone tracking app on your device before you lose it. Like the Android Device manager, most of these third-party apps can help you locate, lock and erase data on your phone, however, they also come with some other interesting features that can make your phone search easier. Cerberus anti-theft, Family Locator and Lost Android are some popular phone tracking apps with other cool features.

Google search
If your device is already linked to your Google account, you can simply type “find my phone” in the Google search bar and select the first search result. Once you are signed into your account, you can locate your device and opt to either make it ring or go ahead and choose the recovery option.

Of course, you will need your device to be signed into your Google account and connected to the internet to do this. However, Google also sends a notification to your phone after your device has been located. Doesn’t sound like a very good idea if your phone was stolen.

IMEI number
If your phone was stolen and the thief turned it off or did it a factory reset, it may be impossible to recover your phone through the previous methods already discussed. Your best shot at finding your lost phone is through its IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) number and you may need the help of your network operator and the law enforcement agencies to get this done.

You can also track your IMEI number through a database of lost and stolen phone. Computer village launched a unified database for this a few months ago. You can find your IMEI number on your phone pack, behind its battery or simply dial *#06#.

Iran Blocks Internet On Third Night Of Protests

Demonstrators attacked a town hall in the Iranian capital Saturday as protests spilled into a third night despite government warnings against any further "illegal gatherings" and moves to cut off the internet on mobiles.

Unverified videos on social media appeared to show thousands marching through the western cities of Khorramabad, Zanjan and Ahvaz, while reports spread rapidly that several people had been shot dead by police in the town of Dorud.

A swirl of wild rumours, combined with travel restrictions and a near-total media blackout from official agencies, made it difficult to confirm the reports.

The authorities appeared to respond by cutting internet access to mobile phones, with the main networks interrupted at least in Tehran shortly before midnight, AFP reporters said.

Several Iranian news agencies warned Telegram, the most popular social media service in the country, might soon be shut down after communications minister Mohammad-Javad Azari Jahromi accused one popular channel, Amadnews, of encouraging an "armed uprising".

Meanwhile, the conservative Mehr news agency posted videos of protesters attacking a town hall in central Tehran, overturning a police car and burning the Iranian flag.

There was chaos earlier around the capital's university as hundreds took to the streets, blocking traffic and shouting slogans against the regime.

But the authorities could also count on a show of strength, with hundreds of counter-demonstrators seizing control of the university entrance, chanting "Death to the seditionists".

The authorities were also fortunate that annual rallies marking the defeat of the last major protest movement in 2009 had already been scheduled for Saturday morning and brought thousands of regime supporters to the streets across the country.

"We urge all those who receive these calls to protest not to participate in these illegal gatherings as they will create problems for themselves and other citizens," said Interior Minister Abdolrahman Rahmani Fazli.

- 'A new plot' -

The protests began in the second city of Mashhad on Thursday as an attack on high living costs but quickly turned against the Islamic regime as a whole.

There were even chants in favour of the monarchy toppled by the Islamic revolution of 1979, while others criticised the regime for supporting the Palestinians and other regional movements rather than focusing on problems at home.

State news channel IRINN said it had been banned from covering the protests that spread to towns and cities including Qom and Kermanshah.

"The enemy wants once again to create a new plot and use social media and economic issues to foment a new sedition," Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, a prominent cleric, told a crowd in Tehran, according to the conservative Fars news agency.

Other officials also pointed the blame outside Iran.

"Although people have a right to protest, protesters must know how they are being directed," Massoumeh Ebtekar, vice president in charge of women's affairs, wrote on Twitter.

She posted images from Twitter accounts based in the United States and Saudi Arabia, voicing support for the Mashhad protests.

US President Donald Trump tweeted later that Iran's people wanted change and "oppressive regimes cannot endure forever".

- 'Serious challenges' -

But officials in Iran warned against dismissing the public anger seen in recent days.

"The country is facing serious challenges with unemployment, high prices, corruption, lack of water, social gap, unbalanced distribution of budget," tweeted Hesamoddin Ashena, cultural adviser to President Hassan Rouhani.

"People have the right for their voice to be heard."

There has been particular anger at welfare cuts and fuel price increases in the latest budget announced earlier this month.

Since the 2009 protests were ruthlessly put down by the Revolutionary Guards, many middle-class Iranians have abandoned hope of pressing for change from the streets.

But low-level strikes and demonstrations have continued, often on a sector-by-sector basis as bus drivers or teachers or workers from specific factories protest against unpaid wages or poor conditions.

Some of this week's protests were directed against financial scandals linked to unauthorised lending institutions which collapsed with the loss of hundreds of thousands of accounts.

Payam Parhiz, editor-in-chief of reformist media network Nazar that broke the news of the Mashhad protests, said they were more focused on the economy than those in 2009, which were sparked by allegations of election-rigging.

"Then, they were middle-class and their slogans went beyond economic matters to things like cultural liberties," he told AFP.

"Today, the concerns are economic. There are people who have lost their life savings. They will protest until their problems are resolved."

Since taking power in 2013, Rouhani has sought to clean up the banking sector and kickstart the economy, but many say progress has been too slow.

Aware that economic problems can quickly spiral into political chaos, officials from across the political spectrum have called for greater efforts to tackle poverty and the 12 percent unemployment rate.

"Solving people's economic problems is the chief priority in the country," tweeted Ebrahim Raisi, the hardline cleric defeated by Rouhani in May's presidential election.

Trump Gets A Dog Statue In China (Photos)

A mall in northern China has declared the coming Lunar New Year the year of #TrumpDog and they even went as far as erecting a giant statue that bears a striking resemblance to the US president.

The statue sports a deep frown, an index finger pointing straight up and Trump’s signature hair in what is believed to be his favourite colour, gold. The dog is also wearing a red kerchief, similar to the power ties typically worn by the president.

The People’s Daily, the official mouthpiece of the Communist party, heralded the statue’s arrival, declaring “Welcome the #TrumpDog”.

The Festival Walk Mall in Taiyuan, the capital of the northern province of Shanxi, erected the statue ahead of the start of the Lunar New Year, which falls on 16 February, 2018. Last year the shopping arcade built another Trump-like effigy, but the US president was portrayed as a rooster.

The Chinese zodiac is a 12 year cycle, with each year represented by a separate animal. Trump was born in 1946, also the year of the dog. But that is not good news for the US president, as Chinese culture predicts a year of bad fortune for anyone that shares the same zodiac sign. People are generally told to be careful during their own zodiac year as pitfalls abound.
While the statue is a transparent ploy to gain international attention, an employee who answered the phone at the mall claimed it was not meant to resemble Trump.

“It’s just a cute dog for our customers to see and take pictures with,” the employee said.

Meanwhile, the statue, and the hashtag #TrumpDog, has begun trending on social media.

Christian Bakers Ordered To Pay $135k For Refusing To Make Wedding Cake For Same-Sex Couple

A judge ruled against two Christian bakers who refused service for a same-sex couple.

According to NBC News, the owners of the now-closed Sweet Cakes by Melissa bakery will have to fork over a $135,000 fine for their discrimination. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The incident occurred back in 2013 when Aaron and Melissa Klein, the owners of the Oregon bakery, refused to make a wedding cake for Rachel and Laurel Bowman-Cryer.

At the time, the Kleins said their religious beliefs wouldn’t allow them to provide a service for the same-sex couple. However, according to NBC News, the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries said that their refusal violated a 2007 state law that protects the rights of the LGBTQ community. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Years later, the couple filed a suit against the bakers for their refusal of service, demanding money for their emotional distress. At the time, a judge ruled in favor of the couple, ordering the bakers to cough up the damages.

However, the Kleins appealed in March of this year. But, on Thursday, nearly five years after the start of the case, the Oregon Court of Appeals denied the bakers’ claim and upheld the 6-figure fine against them. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“It does not matter how you were born or who you love,” the couple said in a statement after the ruling. “All of us are equal under the law and should be treated equally. Oregon will not allow ‘a Straight Couples Only’ sign to be hung in bakeries or other stores."

George Weah: 10 Things You Didn’t Know About Liberian President-Elect

George Weah was announced the winner on Thursday of Liberia’s presidential run-off, beating Vice President Joseph Boakai in the first democratic transfer of power in decades following two devastating civil wars.

Here are the 10 things you probably don't known about George Weah

1) After starting his career in his home country of Liberia, Arsene Wenger brought him to Europe where he signed for Monaco in 1988.

2) He signed for AC Milan in 1995 where he spent four successful seasons, and won the Italian Serie A, twice. His most notable goal in Italy saw him run the length of the field against Verona.

3) He moved to the English Premier League towards the end of his career and had spells at Chelsea and Manchester City, before returning to France to play for Marseille in 2001, and subsequently ending his career with Al-Jazira in 2003.

4 )At international level, he represented Liberia at the African Cup of Nations on two occasions.

5) An idol in Africa, Weah has been heavily involved in politics in his homeland Liberia and ran unsuccessfully for president in the 2005 elections, losing to Ellen Johnson Sirleaf in the second round of voting.

6) In the 2011 election, he ran for vice president on Winston Tubman’s ticket. Running as a Congress for Democratic Change candidate, Weah was elected to the senate in 2014.

7) Weah moved to Paris Saint German in 1992 where he won Ligue 1 in 1994 and became the top scorer of the 1994-95 UEFA Champions League.

8) As successful as he was at club level, Weah was not able to bring over that success to the Liberia National Team. In total, Weah played 60 games for Liberia over 20 years, scoring 22 goals.

9) Along with all-time greats in the sport such as Alfredo Di Stefano and George Best, Weah is regarded as being among the best football players who never got the chance to play at a World Cup.
