Chelsea 1 - 1 Norwich City (AET, 5-3 pens): Nine-Man Blues Stumbled To Fourth Round

Chelsea nine men grafted their way into the fourth round of the FA Cup. Willy Caballero’s key penalty save from Nelson Oliveira in the shootout was a heartbreaker for Norwich but means the Blues will host Newcastle in the next round.

Batshuayi had been woeful until he gave the Blues the lead in the 55th minute with his 11th goal of the season.

Just when it looked like Chelsea would scrape through in relegation regulation, Jamal Lewis stunned Chelsea in the last minute of the four added on in normal time.

Chelsea worked plenty of chances in extra-time, then it all devolved into hilarious red cards and further hilarious refereeing. Willian got booked for a non-dive, Morata got sent off because the referee refused to use VAR.

Then we had regular ABAB penalties, unlike in the Community Shield. Chelsea lost that one, but not this one!

P/Ks for Chelsea: Willian (good), David Luiz (good), Captain Dave (good), Kante (good), Hazard (good)

P/Ks for Norwich: Oliveira (saved), Maddison (good), Vrancic (good), Murphy (good)
