Breaking! Ballon d'Or 2017: Cristiano Ronaldo Wins Award For The Fifth Time

Real Madrid and Portuguese star, Cristiano Ronaldo, has won the Ballon d'Or for a fifth time to move level with rival Lionel Messi in the second year in a row.

The Real Madrid forward was named the winner of France Football's prestigious award at a ceremony in Paris on Thursday.

The Portugal international levels with the 30-year-old Argentine, Messi, who won the most recent of his five awards in 2015.

Ronaldo, 32, previously won the award in 2008, 2013, 2014 and 2016.
