After a 48 hour the Federal Government sacked virtually all the Directors of the Nigerian
Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), the Government has approved the appointment of five new Directors and one General Manager.
Those appointed according to the General Manager, Public Affairs, Mr. Sam Adurogboye in a statement on Monday, are Group Captain Edem Oyo-Ita
(Director of Air Transport Regulations, DATR);Ahmed Abbas Sanusi (Director, Human
Resources and Administration, DHR & ADMIN) and Bilikisu Adamu Sani, (Director of Finance and Accounts, DFA).
Others are Odunowo Tayyib Adetunji (Director of
Aerodrome and Airspace Standards, DAAS);Engr. Ita
Awak, (Director of Airworthiness Standards, DAWS) and Lawrence Mathew Kwajok,(General Manager, Air
Navigational Standards,ANS).
The statement said all appointments are with
immediate effect.
The Government through the Ministry of Transportation had on Friday announced the sack of nine directors.
However, 24 hours after, the government recalled
two of the directors-Alhaji Adamu Abdullahi (Director of Consumer Protection) and Capt.
Ayodele Sasegbon(Director of General Aviation).
The directors affected by the sack in NCAA were Alhaji Salawu Ozigi(Director of Finance and Accounts), Dr. Joyce Nkemakolam (Director of
Aerodrome and Airspace Standards), Barr. Aba Ejembi (Director of Administration), Mr. Emmanuel Ogunbami (Director of Licensing).
Others are Engr. Benedict Adeyileka (Director of
Airworthiness Standards),Mr. Justus Wariya (Director of Air Transport Regulation) and
Mr.Austin-Amadi Ifeanyi (Director of Human Resources).
