iPhone suddenly explodes in man's hands at repair store

This is the moment an iPhone 6 exploded in a man’s hand at an Australia shop, sending smoke spewing throughout the store.

The customer brought his phone to a repair shop in Queensland, claiming that he needed to get the screen fixed and that his device wouldn’t charge..

Surveillance video, caught on the store’s CCTV camera, shows the man holding and fiddling with the phone when it suddenly explodes.

The man flinches and drops the phone — before a store employee jumps back, narrowly avoiding
the simmering device.

The shopkeeper, Simon Owen, claimed that the phone’s battery overheated, blowing the screen clear off the phone. The shop was
evacuated and closed for the rest of the day because of the lingering flames.
