Nigerian musician, Ayo Balogun popularly known as Wizkid, is definitely at a high point in his career as his hit song 'Daddy Yo' was used among the soundtrack for the British-Nigerian actor, John Boyega, upcoming film titled 'Pacific Rim'.
The star of ‘Detroit’ and ‘Star Wars’, said he had the opportunity to influence creative choices in the film so it was important to have Afrobeats music in the action flick.
The Hollywood star had in December disclosed that “Pacific Rim”, would heavily target Nigeria as a main marketing spot.
Boyega wrote on Instagram;
“One of the most exciting things about producing Pacific Rim Uprising was the opportunity to influence the creative choices.
”So I put @wizkidayo song “Daddy yo” in the movie. Jaegers need afrobeats too!
