Ebola Survivor, Dr Adaora Okoli Featured on TIME Magazine

Year 2014 was a year that Adaora Okoli will always put in a memobalia. It the same year that changed her life forever.

Adaora Okoli who was suffering from Ebola has checked into the hospital where she was working and in the process of treating the patient, she got infected with the deadly disease.

On Thursday, she was named as one of Bill Gates‘ 5 “Heroes in the Field.”

She did not know if she would live or die. “You don’t know if it’s going to end with your death,” she said.

But as luck will have it, she survived.

Ever since the unexpected turn of things, she has dedicated her life to the research, treatment, and prevention of future epidemics, studying at the Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine.

Dr Adaora Okoli was also featured on TIME magazine, where she shared her story to the world.
