According to UN Refugee Agency, the baby was born while her mother was in one of the detention camps in Libya. Her father was kidnapped twice, her mother was three months pregnant.
Each time, they had to pay ransom to be released in Libya detention, her father was beaten repeatedly.
In desperation, they left Libya on a rubber boat at night, and were rescued in international water by the Spanish NGO Openarms.
