On Tuesday morning, a little girl of five years old , who as been identified as Asma’u, is said to have been kidnapped by yet to be identified persons at Zuba in the FCT.
According to Hussaini Hamza who resides in area said, the incident happened at about 10:00a.m. when the girl was sent to buy seasoning cubes.
He said the girl’s mother sent her to a nearby shop to buy Maggi cubes, but she has not returned home since then.
He said the father of the missing girl reported the matter at the Zuba police station.
The Agora of Zuba, Alhaji Muhammad Bello Umar, who confirmed the incident, also expressed sadness over the missing girl issue.
The traditional ruler said he was disturbed over the case of the missing girl, adding that the palace would continue to summon peace and security meetings in order to enlighten and educate parents over indiscriminate spreading of rumour.
The Zuba Divisional Police Officer (DPO), CSP Bashir Kontagora, declined comment when our reporter contacted him over the incident, while the FCT police command PRO, Anjuguri Manzah, did not pick calls put across to him.
A text message to him was also not replied as at the time of going to press.
