Sir Alex Ferguson tells Manchester United to focus on winning the Europa League to guarantee Champions League place

Manchester United play Anderlecht
in the next round of the Europa League. Sir Alex Ferguson is keen for Man United to go on and win the competition.

The winners of the Europa League earn a place in the Champions League. Sir Alex Ferguson has told Manchester United to focus on winning the Europa League to get into next season's Champions League rather than trying to break into the top four.

The race to make the top four is set to go right to the wire with Tottenham, Manchester City,
Liverpool, Arsenal and United all battling it out for the three spots below leaders Chelsea.

With the race for those places so tough, winning the Europa League and therefore gaining automatic qualification for the Champions League has become a far more attractive option for Jose
Mourinho's men.

Manchester United's most successful manager with 38 major trophies in a 27-year spell at Old Trafford is keen for Mourinho's men
to get past Anderlecht and go on and win the competition.
