Four killed, 17 houses destroyed in Adamawa


Four persons have reportedly been killed in three separate fire incidents in Adamawa State.

The incident also resulted in the destruction of 17 houses.
A lawmaker and member of the All Progressives Congress in Numan Constituency, Hon . Sodom Tayedi, appealed for assistance on behalf of the
victims of the fire.

According to her , the fire claimed two lives in Numan while a third victim is in a critical situation at the Federal
Medical Centre, Yola, the state capital.

She revealed that the fire, which began at the market stall operated by the council , also destroyed 16 houses, causing occupants to lose all of their
possessions.

The cause of the fire has yet to be ascertained even though there are insinuations that it may have been triggered by an electrical fault.
