APC women leader urges women to convince husbands to embrace farming

The Jigawa APC Women Leader, Mrs Binta Farin-Dutse, has enjoined women in the state to encourage their husbands to engage in farming.

Farin-Dutse, who gave the advise while speaking to a group of women on Tuesday in Kiyawa, said farming was one reliable approach to poverty
alleviation.

‘‘Advise your husband’s to go back to farming in order to reduce the level of unemployment among them.‘‘If all your husbands will venture
into agriculture, I am sure that will boost food security in you communities, the state and the
nation in general.

‘‘This will also reduce rural-urban migrationnamong your children,’’ she told the women.The APC women leader further enjoined the women
to pray for President Muhammadu Buhari’s speedy recovery and safe return to the country.

‘‘President Buhari needs our prayers for him to quickly recover, come back and continue tobsteer the affairs of our country.

‘‘We should also continue to pray for peace and economic prosperity of our great country.
‘‘Our prayers to our leaders will also enable them to continue to give dividends of democracy
to the citizenry,’’ she added
